Hi, I'm Victor Schmidlin, former Greensleeves and Dynahead guitarist. After almost a decade-long hiatus from music, Alone in the Arena is my new musical endeavour as a solo artist (and singing!). I hope you like it as much as I enjoy doing it.
Notes keep fighting to see the light of day
This project was conceived to give voice to the incessant lyrical sirens in my head. My brain is never quiet nor loyal to any specific style, blending many rock and metal genres inspired by the 60s’ and 70s’ metal embryos infused with progressive experimentalism, the 80s’ stadium hard rock sticky choruses and groove, the 90s’ grunge simplicity and thrash, aggressive riffs, and the 2000s’ low tunings and unusual tempos.
